Quazal announced a new release of their (commercial) Net-Z multiplayer engine. Here's a snippet from the press release:

"Montreal -May 6, 2003 - Quazal, a leader in multiplayer middleware for the videogame industry, today announced the immediate availability of Quazal Net-Z(tm) 3.1, its powerful high-level game state engine for multiplayer games. As with previous versions, this release brings peak performance for supported platforms - the Sony PlayStation(r)2 and Microsoft Xbox(tm) game console platforms and the Microsoft Windows(r) operating system. Net-Z 3.1 boasts a number of major technological developments such as graphical tools to monitor the game state and additional means to combat latency. "
