C-Buffer Parallax Scrolling

Jacco Bikker sent word that he's released the source code to Steam, a side-scrolling shoot'em game that's now available as part of the Overloaded / PocketMatrix Game Coding program. Here's a bit about the game from Jacco:

"The parallax scrolling is performed using a c-buffer: The layers are split up in horizontal spans of pixels and then drawn front-to-back, clipping the spans against already drawn spans, resulting in zero overdraw. On a P200, this results in 4 or more layers scrolling at 60fps in 640x480 resolution.

The game itself is a pretty standard shoot 'm up game with flying bullets, enemy ships in nice patterns and stuff like that. It never got finished, but may be interesting still."
