May Contest Updates
Just a few updates regarding our recently announced coding contest:
First off, we've now got a prize to offer! Thanks to the fine folks over at Ratbag Games, the winner of the contest will receive a copy of Leadfoot, stadium off-road racing for the PC, signed by the development team! Many thanks go out to Ratbag for hooking us up with such a cool prize to offer!
Next up, a few people have asked if [fill in object] counts as a vehicle. The general definition we're going with for the contest is "A device or structure for transporting persons or things;" If you're still not sure if your idea qualifies however, please contact us and we'll let you know.
And finally, the question has been asked about whether third-party libraries may be used in entries. The contest FAQ has been updated with some notes on this issue, but the short answer is that unless otherwise stated for a particular contest, libraries with publicly available source code may be used; commercial/proprietary packages may not. Hopefully this will help keep the playing field level.
That's it, good luck to all who choose to enter!
