Dev-Gallery.com sent word that they've posted a new tutorial on the basics of the Open Inventor 3D toolkit. Here's a bit more information:

" Open Inventor is an object-oriented 3D toolkit based on top of OpenGL; it contains a library of objects and methods that greatly simplify the creation of 3D applications. Its database containing hundreds of useful classes makes programming 3D graphics much more compelling than using lower level APIs. This first tutorial will teach you how to set up a simple Inventor Graph and then render it to the screen using GLUT. "
