IRC Channel Info
On the left menu, under forums, you will notice a new link to the #flipCode IRC Channel info page. This page, kindly written by Foper (a #flipCode regular), explains a bit about what you can expect from #flipcode and why you might want to visit. The channel has been alive and kicking since around Mid-October 1999, and has been home to many interesting, intelligent, unusual, hilarious, and occasionally frightening conversations ;). But its all in good fun and should be a pretty cool place to check out if you're into IRC chatting, coding, etc.
Note that the channel is pretty much completely unmoderated, and what's spoken there, even by ops, does not neccesarily represent flipcode's view on anything. I say that as a sort of disclaimer, but the easier way to suggest it would be this: Like any irc channel, #flipcode can get a little strange at times. Don't take it too seriously. If you notice any major problems for any reason, perhaps try talking to one of the channel ops, for example Conor Stokes (aka DirtyPunk), who has become somewhat of a psuedo-moderator for the channel. For more information about the chan, including a taste of what to expect, check out this page.
And finally, greetings to all of the #flipcode regulars and ops.
