OTri sent along the following news blurb from the OpenGL Challenge front:

" The OpenGL Challenge is doing a two-week theme called "Crystalline Structures" where we move away from soft shapes and enter the hard world of crystalline structures. If you're interested in writing your first OpenGL program, this is the perfect place to learn and anonymously show your work to others. You can find example code from a collection of over 126 challenge entries with all source code released to public domain. Come join the fun at the OpenGL Challenge, and show off what you can do too. A few starter ideas for this two week theme; light refraction, spectrums of colour, solidifying ice crystals, glittering effects of gems, possibly fractal geometry or your own way of making recursive "edgy" visual effects. Anything creative is truly welcome, just use your imagination and a little programming. "
