I finally got my hands on Effective C++, CD Edition, by Scott Meyers. I must say I'm certainly happy with what I've been reading so far. If you're a C++ programmer and have yet to see this, you may want to take a look. For 30$ at Amazon, its well worth it. On the CD edition, you get 2 books by Meyers, and several magazine articles. Its pretty much packed with C++ knowledge gems. Don't worry, I'm not trying to get a referal fee. Here's a clean link to it from Thanks go out to the many people who recommended this book.

BTW - For those who've been asking, the book review section on flipCode is being redesigned.
