Image Description, by Michi

These are some early Beta-Screenshots from an upcoming trailer which will be introducing our game.

Some of the currently supported features:
  • advanced particle system to create all kinds of particle effects
  • realistic skydome
  • layered fog
  • weather effects like: lightnings, rain, snow…
  • halos & lens flare effects
  • dynamic lightning
  • vertex shaders
  • multi texturing for lightmaps & simulated caustics
  • …
  • The tool we programed to create the effects is also able to import complete Lightwav Scenes and convert them into our own format.

Screenshots from this tool will be coming up soon…at least we hope so :-)

Anyway, thats it for now ,-)

    Best regards,
    David & Michael

That looks great.... is the trailer rendered with the game engine?

    January 13, 2002, 02:15 PM

In my oppinion it is not necessary to say "Well that's quite nice", 'cause all images posted here mostly results of good work :)

but to honor yar work: It's nice :)

    January 13, 2002, 02:33 PM

looks pretty. hope to see this in motion sometimes

    January 13, 2002, 02:37 PM

Knowing you did a good job is one thing. Having 100 people tell you that is another thing :)

    January 13, 2002, 02:42 PM

The church in the top picture looks totally awesome ;)

All pictures look nice, except of the most upper. It's to empty.

    January 13, 2002, 03:37 PM

    Cool skulls! :D

    January 13, 2002, 03:42 PM

you're webpage is not designed for 640x480 i have plenty of bugs (text over pictures, can't scroll down etc..)

    January 13, 2002, 03:42 PM

    Very nice set of images.
However, I think it would have been better with more brightness (not in the game itself, but when posting here on the IODT).
I wonder if it says 1006 particles in the upper image? I can't see any particles in the image except for the two torches. Do they contain more than 500 particles each?

    January 13, 2002, 03:47 PM

Well, I can't see anything (too dark) but the blue sky looks nice :)

    January 13, 2002, 04:18 PM

I really like the atmosphere in the pictures outside the church. Looks spooky!

    January 13, 2002, 04:23 PM

Yes, I really like the atmosphere. Do you have dynamic shadows as well?

Where is Atteam based out of?

    January 13, 2002, 05:48 PM

Mommy! I see flying green skulls in my room!

    January 13, 2002, 06:56 PM

No demo?? f'that.. =D Naw, cool stuff ya got there! You can really spook the hell out of someone in that scene if you plan your ghoulish intents right =)

    January 13, 2002, 07:01 PM

Then you definitely need to adjust your monitor settings.

    January 13, 2002, 07:04 PM

nice atmos, like the other said. It reminds me of doom and quake1 (which is a good thing). Man i loved that quake1 zombie.

    January 13, 2002, 07:36 PM

If you are still working in 640x480...

    January 13, 2002, 08:49 PM

I wouldn't think so, seeming it's a lightmap engine. Dynamic shadows is over rated, proper dynamic shadowing (not the dynamic shadowing seen in Ghost recon) should be reserved to futuristic games like Kreed (Kreed looks awesome) and Doom aiming for the higher end PC. Otherwise the trade-offs are too big.

    January 13, 2002, 08:59 PM

Looks really good, can you tell us anymore about the type of game that is in development? RTCW without Nazis and more undead?

    January 13, 2002, 09:18 PM

Also, it seems that with the features listed, the engine won't work on my Voodoo 1 card :(

    Looks very good!
    The lighting looks pretty awesome!

BTW, I want to learn how to read Lightwave objects and scenes, is there a good tutorial somewhere?

    Is that OpenGL or Direct3D?

    January 14, 2002, 03:24 AM

what do you mean by realistic sky?

Good job by the way :)

    January 14, 2002, 05:10 AM

Yes the trailer is renderd in realtime by our engine :-)
I'm sorry I forgott to mention that!

    January 14, 2002, 05:12 AM

Thats true :-) Our webpage is designed for 800x600 and I think every should be able to use that resolution ,-)

    January 14, 2002, 05:15 AM

No the do not, but theres also the church in those scene. You can't see it that good because the church screenshot is using the wrong angle, but at the top of the churge there are some particles too!

    January 14, 2002, 05:17 AM

Youre deffinitly right, it's an lightmap engine :-)

    January 14, 2002, 05:18 AM

    It's OPENGL :-)

    January 14, 2002, 05:27 AM

I'm sorry I would like to, but I'm not allowed to tell that many details at the moment... :-(

But youre right it will be a first person shooter which will be using many never before seen game-modes because it's deffinitly time for some new stuff!!

But I promise there will be more Info coming soon!
