This is a picture taken from my last vacation in Les Deux Alpes, France. I went snowboarding for three weeks there and as you can see I'm upside down, in the middle of a frontloop, about 3 metres above the snow, jumping about 15 metres far. Anyway, I'm back in Holland again (sigh), and I'm currently picking up my work (a new project, which I'm very enthousiastic about), I started studying again, and drank lots of beer (and applejuice) with friends I haven't seen for a while. I'm sorry to those I couldn't reply for three weeks, but hopefully I replied everybodies mail by now.

Seems like awfully detailed mountains ;-)

Man, that looks totally unrealistic.

I mean, where's the lightmapping? Where's the plasma-generated cloud texturemap? I don't see any lens flares, that snow texture looks dirty, and that sky gradient is *so* unrealistic; I mean, come on, dark blue to cyan to white? And what's with all the dithering on your skybox texturemap?

Also, what's with all the haze on the distant mountainpeaks? Real engines don't need such cheesy fog effects to hide their draw-in. And that particle system on the snowboarder is just plain WEAK... what is that, 12 pixels' worth? And that snowboarder looks like a crappy billboard sprite... That technique died with the N64.

That's also a poor excuse for FSAA - I mean, come on, any idiot can just do a gaussian blur on the image.

Your engine has promise, but as it stands, it's certainly nothing to be proud of and is just another lame landscape engine.

(For the clueful-impaired: I was being sarcastic. :)

I told you not to do that kind of tricks Jaap! You have to be carefull with your hands! What if you break something? I would miss those unhumanly stupid bugs of you! :)
