As a quick follow up to a previous IOTD I submitted, here is the terrain engine basically completed.
This Engine is for a Museum Display, and as such I can specify the Hardware to run it on, hence the detailed texturing.
Target machine is a P3 550 - ViperII Video Card.
The bulk of the terrain is textured with 128x128 tiles, with the city being textured by 4 512x512 tiles.
Still have to add the Physical Buildings, and then we are complete, so should be finished next week.
BTW this project will have taken only 4 weeks from concept to completion.
This is created using the Power Render API (www.egerter.com), using the standard terrain engine, and just replacing the required city textures with larger ones.
