OUYA: The revolution will be televised. OUYA is a new game console for the TV, powered by Android. We've packed this little box full of power. Developers will have access to OUYA's open design so they can produce their games for the living room, taking advantage of everything the TV has to offer. Anyone can make a game: every OUYA console is a dev kit. It's built on Android, so developers already know how it works. Indies can create the next big title in their bedroom -- just like the good old days! OUYA will change AAA game development, too. Forget about licensing fees, retail fees, and expensive SDKs.
Fastest Kickstart Ever. OUYA's July 2012 launch became one of the most successful Kickstarter projects ever, with tens of thousands of backers pledging to help bring the project to life. The response from both developers and gamers has been overwhelming. We have a clear vision to open up console games, and an achievable technical path to get there. OUYA's first consoles will ship in early 2013.
About you. You are ridiculously smart, creative, and passionate - and want to surround yourself with like people. You love games. You're ready to do heavy lifting with a small, focused team. Oh - and to top it off, you're a nice person.
