I was wondering whether KD trees are good candidates for frustum culling. If I'm right, most people use octrees, but do KD trees have an advantage above octrees? Thanks.

I never used kd-trees for pure fustrum culling, but they should be quite useful. The kd-tree needs less nodes to encapsulate geometry, so there should be less to test (compared to octrees).

Great, knowing that it isn't a complete dumb idea I'll give it a try, I'll keep you informed (if I don't forget it).
