Hello all.

Somebody knows how i can get an HMONITOR from a monitors name returned by EnumDisplayDevices()?

why don't you use EnumDisplayMonitors ?

First call EnumDisplayMonitors. In the callback function you will get your HMONITOR handle. Then use GetMonitorInfo with that handle and check the device_name attribute of the MONITORINFOEX structure if it matches your name (your montor's).

hm. because i want to generate a data-tree that identifies the installed display adapters first, then the monitors fed by each adapter and then the screen-area belonging to each monitor, if attached..

mm, i was hoping for a more comfortable way..
