I am using dev c++ with gcc 3.42. My code requires a library containing _aligned_malloc to link properly. Unfortuantely there seems to be an odd conflict between libmsvcr70(which contains _aligned_malloc) and the following, perfectly valid code in this example program:

  1. fstream filein;
  2. int main(){
  3.     int a;
  4.     filein.open("in.txt", ios::in);
  5.     filein>>a;
  6. }

if libmsvr70 is removed from the project, it does not crash. If I remove the filein>>a; line, there is no crashing. Is there anything I can do to get it to link properly, and run without crashing?
