Has anyone ever tried to do motion capture DIY-style? Like putting ping-pong balls on the actor, and two webcams or DV cameras (front & left view e.g.) and writing some software to do the tracking & IK.

Accuracy would certainly be a problem, but with some tuning I don't see why it wouldn't work. So has anybody done it?
