Hi all. I'm actually suffering some problems with D3D combined with SetLayeredWindowAttributes functions.

I want to draw 3d characters on the desktop as desktop dolls, so that the users can freely rotate & manipulate them. But the problem is when I was trying to use SetLayeredWindowAttributes to filter the background colors, my D3D windows was twinkled and the filter seems didn't work.

I've tried to use GDI StretchDIBits drawing bitmaps on the created window with SetLayeredWindowAttributes to filter the background colors, it works quite well.

Can anyone tell me what should I do? or some related URLs will also be appreciated.

Thanks all.
