Hi all!
May i ask some questions to all of you

What original things in games you write?
What your games like?
Do you use API (DirectX, OpenGL, other) or you write your own?
What operating system you use?
What system configuration you use?
What ideas do you want to bring into this world whith (or by) your game?
What is game programming for you?
What for people write games?
.....
Anything else?

>>Hi all!

Hey :)

>>May i ask some questions to all of you

Ofcourse !

>>What original things in games you write?

Engines. (Actually I never wrote a full game alone. Always together with someone else and I did either 3dEngine or Sprite Engine)

>>What your games like?

The best games ever:
GoldenEye (Nintendo 64)
Zelda 4 (Gameboy)
Joust (PC)
Descent 1 (PC)

>>Do you use API (DirectX, OpenGL, other) or you write your own?

I always used API's. In the old pascal days I used SPX_VGA and currently I'm using DirectX.
There is no use in reinventing the wheel if it is already invented at the best possible speed.

>>What operating system you use?

Windows 95 (98)

>>What system configuration you use?

Oops, 486, 100 MHz, 32 MB RAM, 800 MB HD

>>What ideas do you want to bring into this world whith (or by) your game?

Nothing but fun. (Well, maybe that all people should go vegetarian :) )

>>What is game programming for you?

The best combination of pure science and creativity and art and hard work.

>>What for people write games?

People who are creative AND intelligent AND hard working.

>>Anything else?

I just LOVE game and engine programming. It combines the best creativity and science and I cannot say it enough to people that there is actually no other craft that combines the two that good.

Example:

Being an artist isn't that much about science actually.
And being a math professor you aren't doing very creative things. You are creative in the search for solutions but that's it. Game programming is the best!

Have fun!
