i am working on a 3d fps game in my spare time and i am stuck at the point trying to decide on
how to go about doing my maps. the was the idea of just modyfing the quake/2 bsp code to meet
my needs but that prooves to be alotta work and more functionnaility then i need. basicailly
what i am trying to go to is does any one have any suggestions for map files that will help in
visible surface determination, are generally pretty easy to implement and are generally fast.

Thanx

I might suggest using genesis 3d. (www.genesis3d.com)

Would save having to develop for three years before getting to the point of being able to do anything useful.

they use similar maps to quake (you can use quake maps, if you really want to)...
